Who We Are Print E-mail

NAPC is one of thousands of churches within the denomination called the Presbyterian Church (USA).  We ascribe to the Book of Confessions, a collection of historic documents written by followers of Jesus throughout the history of the Church.  Some of the central beliefs in this book are:

  • We worship the Triune, God, Who is Three in One: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus Christ was fully God and fully human. He came to live among us to demonstrate the nature and love of God, to teach us how to live, and to reconcile us to God. He was executed on a cross, died, and three days later rose from the dead and defeated the power of sin and death.
  • As human beings, we are created by God in His image. Through sin we are separated from God, but through Christ’s death and resurrection we can be restored to an intimate relationship with Him for all eternity, if we choose to receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord.
  • The Bible is the central account of God’s incredible love for humanity and God’s work in the world to bring us into a relationship with Him, and it is our guide to how to live and believe.
  • As followers of Jesus, individually, and as a community of faith, we are sent by God through the power of the Holy Spirit to serve, love and bless the world.
